Eva Aguila, who also plays in Gang Wizard (Load/Ecstatic Peace), will be visiting EU for her 2nd time under the name Kevin Shields. Her solo work is centered around mechanics and magnetism. She has a 12" out on RRR, a full length CD on EMR, and a split 7" with Thurston Moore on Deathbomb Arc

Brittany Gould does vocal work under the name Married In Berdichev! Combining a gorgeous well trained voice with various noise techniques, Brittany creates ballads as far from the soft-rock genre as possible. She has also performed as a member of Jandek.

Together they perform as Caldera Lakes. Their most recent cassette is on Blackest Rainbow.


KEVIN SHIELDS:
Kevin Shields(aka Eva Aguila), resident Deathbomb Arc go-to-girl and craft fair fabric wizard with her own label Hate State, is undoubtedly the harsh noise queen of the West Coast. Whether it be her collaborations with Brian Miller, her jamming in Gang Wizard, or her solo work, she is always painting from her own sonic spectrum of harsh tones and brutal waves of distortion. “Cavity Fever” is heavy on keyboard/organ sounds, a new direction for KS, which are seamlessly crocheted with tape manipulations, microphone feedback, and expert tone work.
