Our house aka DBA HQ took some flood damage last week. Fortunatly most of the Deathbomb releases and distro were unharmed, but some copies of the Live at the Smell DVD and of Child P's 'The Beatles' cd got water damaged. The discs still play fine, but the art is warped. So, if anyone would like a copy of one of these water damaged releases, I will give it to you for free along with the purchase of any other item in the webstore. Hello Deathbomb Friends, So I've decided to put off releasing the new tik///tik, obsidian pond, and foot village tour comp until the first week of Jan. Fuck 2009, you know? Everyone is all excited for 2010 and I prefer to see these awesome releases come out in the birth of 2010 rather than in the last graveyard days of 2009. So, in this newsletter, instead of the usual release announcements and show listings, I'm just gonna recap the year a bit, for better and worse. In 2009 Deathbomb Arc put out ZERO pro-pressed releases. That means no vinyl and no cds. Just cassettes and cdrs. I love them all, but it was sad to not be able to do any vinyl for sure. Sadly, it was a broke-ass year. Thank you so much to all the bands that worked with me to do awesome handmade releases though. I think that BITCHES and Blue Sabbath Black Fiji both saw a lot of awesomeness in 2009 and it was an honor to be a part of that. Both those bands are from the UK, and it is no coincidence that shit is blowing up in the UK right now. So many awesome bands from there. Many of them will appear on the Foot Village free digital tour comp coming out next week. In that sense, I feel like the album still has not actually come out, cuz vinyl rules. Especially gatefold art vinyl! Supposedly they are done now, but being held hostage in some distro warehouse while they are closed for the holiday. That is cool though, cuz it means the album can come out in 2010 and be a part of kick the year off with true awesomeness. Brace yourself!!!! What else can you expect in 2010? We're gonna be make a lot more visual art around here. More zines (did you get a copy of the one we did in 09, 'Pager Slang'?), a comic book (yes!), and tons of internet art (hey, we love it!).
